Ever had a moment in a Pokemon game that just makes you wanna scream? Smash your Gameboy Color/ Advanced/ SP/ DS/ whatever else? Share it here!
My worst moment has to have been in my Ruby Version...I was leaving Petalburg City for the first time...I encountered a Wurmple. Deciding I wanted one on my team, I threw one of two Pokeballs I had...it broke out the first time, so I weakened it down, and tossed the second one. I caught it, and was quite content. So, I keep walking, and not more than five steps later, what do I find?
A shiny Taillow.
I was so excited, I couldn't believe I had found a shiny Pokemon. It was legit too, and a male. I was super happy so got my Treecko to weaken it down until its health was in the red zone. So, I went into my bag to get a Pokeball...
There were none.
My heart stopped for a moment once I realized I had used them both on Wurmple. I kept looking through my bag, hoping a Pokeball would magically appear, but it didn't. Eventually, I forced myself to shut off the game, and say goodbye to the ultra rare Pokemon.
...I never catch Wurmples anymore. I'm afraid they'll jinx me haha.
Lesson: ALWAYS carry Pokeballs.
So, share your experiences!

• I named my Wailord "Mew" in Pokèmon: Ruby because I thought it would scare my opponents...sadly, it didn't work like I wanted it to. • I trained a Machoke to Level 56, thinking he'd evolve like normal. I didn't know he had to be traded to evolve. • On Pokèmon: Ruby, I went around in a big circle from Mauville, north to east to south to west. I did that so many times that my starter (Blaziken) was Level 74...before the sixth gym. Finally, I figured out I needed to Surf from Norman. • I had an Oddish on Pokèmon: Ruby that was shiny. I trained him to Level 40, but didn't make him evolve because I thought he wouldn't be shiny anymore. • On Pokèmon: Ruby, I fished for Feebas in the wrong river for about an hour. • Not so much of a fail as a total game malfunction, but in Pokèmon: Silver, the game froze during my 86th run on the Elite 4. At that time, I had a Level 64 Hypno, Level 100 Typhlosion, Level 86 Kingler, Level 25 Nidorina, and Level 18 Togetic.
All the fails that say Pokèmon: Ruby happened in the same saved file.

The tired yet true "not saving before legendary" curse has struck me more than once.
