What was everyone's opinion it and what do you think of Mewtoo? Do you think he should have appeared in the actual tv series?
I personally loved this movie, and liked the cloning of Mew to bring fourth Mewtoo.

I actually re-watched this movie just the other day.
I still love the plot line, battles, characters and message. The way Mewtwo was presented was just perfect; someone who questioned the meaning of life, and felt it was pointless to have weaker beings.
The music score was very good as well, "Brother My Brother" is always tugs my Heart Strings a bit when the scene plays, all of the Pokemon fighting each other. "Tears of Life" though, that was an incredible piece of music. When I listened to it the other day after 11 years of not hearing it, nostalgia hit me hard. The scene was beautiful, showing that in the midst of their fight, the Pokemon all felt the same sorrow for Pikachu's loss. Sure, the whole "Tears of Pokemon's Love restore life" maybe a little cheesy, but it works for me. Besides, seeing Pikachu cry that was pretty sad as well.
The battle between Mew and Mewtwo was pretty good in my opinion; both were vicious (Well, Mewtwo was for the most part), and not willing to give up due to each others beliefs (the Japanese version was a bit different from the English one, I'll get to that in a sec).
The Message and resolution though, that's what I loved. Mewtwo realized that not everyone is the same, and while others may be out for themselves, others can show love and compassion. He learned that it does not matter what your birth was like, everyone is a living being, all are different. Meowth's small speech was good as well: "Maybe if we stopped looking at each other's differences, and instead at each other's similarities, maybe, just maybe, the world would be a better place."
High five Meowth.
All in all, I used to greatly enjoy this movie...and still do! Maybe I'll re-watch it later.
*In the Japanese version, Mew stated that he saw all clones as inferior to natural borns and decided he should eradicate them all, and Mewtwo vice-versa. It was changed for the English dub to make Mew seem more friendly.

Too bad that didnt actually happen eh? lol Plus, too bad that original Japanese verision was kept fully for English, hearing that from Mew would have been interesting. Or i would have thought so atleast.
